In Store Returns & Exchanges

Theory.com Purchases

We want you to be completely satisfied with your theory.com order, thus we will accept your return or exchange of product in original condition with all tags attached within 14 days of receipt of your order. Your theory.com receipt and original form of payment must accompany your return. Please note that returns or exchanges for items purchased on theory.com are only accepted at Theory Retail stores and will not be accepted at Theory Outlet locations. Shoes and Handbags purchased on theory.com can only be returned to theory.com and cannot be returned to Theory Retail stores. Gift returns will be refunded in the form of a theory.com online credit. All sale items are final sale and cannot be returned at any time. Also, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Theory Retail Store Purchases

Within 14 days of purchase we will happily return or exchange merchandise in its original, unused condition, with tags attached, accompanied by an original receipt. We will issue a refund in the form and amount tendered for the original transaction except that cash purchases may only be returned for store credit. All merchandise accompanied by a gift receipt may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 30 days of original purchase. Gift card sales are final and may not be returned. All sale items, swimwear, intimates, jewelry, third party items and special order items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.

Theory Outlet Store Purchases

We will happily accept exchanges or give store credit on product in original condition with all tags attached when accompanied by a receipt within 14 days of purchase at any Theory Outlet store. There will be no cash or credit card refunds. All sale items, shoes and accessories are final sale.
